The Scholarship Workshop presentation and
online classes offered through this web site
are not only a tremendous learning
experience but they are also an opportunity
for students to win a scholarship sponsored
by Marianne Ragins. All registered
participants of The Scholarship Workshop
presentation or an online class (includes
teleseminars and web classes) are eligible
to apply for The Ragins/Braswell National
Scholarship (RBNS). The scholarship is
available to students of all ages and
backgrounds.
Eligibility

All applicants must have attended The Scholarship Workshop
presentation or an online class about winning scholarships or financing
higher education within the past year. To be eligible in any given year, you
must have attended a workshop or class between April 30 of the previous
year and April 30 of the current year. For example, if you attend a
workshop or class in September 2005, you are eligible to apply for the
RBNS scholarship in the year 2006 and your application deadline will be
April 30, 2006. If you attended a workshop in January 2006, you are
eligible to apply for the scholarship in the year 2006 and your deadline
will be April 30, 2006. In another example, if you attend a workshop on
May 15, 2006, you will be eligible to apply for the RBNS Scholarship in the
year 2007 and your application deadline will be April 30, 2007.


APPLICATIONS for The Ragins/Braswell National Scholarship can only
be obtained at The Scholarship Workshop presentation or as part of the
registration materials for an online class and may only be submitted by
students who have registered and attended the workshop or class.

The scholarship is available to high school seniors as well as
undergraduate and graduate students.  Applicants must either be
attending or planning to attend an accredited undergraduate or graduate
educational institution.

Documentation of your attendance or enrollment at an accredited
undergraduate or graduate educational institution may be required.

About the Scholarship

  • Scholarship amounts vary.
  • All scholarships awarded are nonrenewable.
  • The scholarship will be awarded and must be used in the
    academic year or period following receipt of the scholarship.

Scholarship Requirements

Scholarships are awarded to individuals based on the following:


Qualities that should be displayed by applicant's essay and application
are the following:

  • Self-motivation
  • Determination
  • Persistence

Deadlines

All applications must be postmarked by April 30 of each year.

Recipients will be notified by September 2. Recipients will be listed on
this web site after they have been notified and have accepted the
scholarship.
